All lessons must be attended at the agreed day and time. If you are unable to attend for any reason please give me 48 hours’ notice. Lessons will not be rescheduled if they are missed and I have not been informed in advance.
In the case of emergencies please let me know on the morning of the day of your lesson if possible. Lessons will be rescheduled at my discretion.
Reschedules are not for students who miss lessons due to play dates, games, non-emergency appointments or family vacations.
A total of 2 lessons in 11 months can be rescheduled at no extra cost if unable to attend at the regular time for unforeseen circumstances/emergencies or school events. The day and time to be agreed with me.
If a student on monthly paid weekly membership takes holiday, 2 weeks’ notice must be given and there is no change to their monthly payment arrangement if they wish to keep their regular weekly teaching slot.
If a student on an ad hoc, pay-as-you-go agreement takes holiday, 2 weeks’ notice must be given if possible. There is no charge for the time they are absent.
MY BREAKS and HOLIDAYS
I do not teach for 10 weeks in the year. You do not pay for these 10 weeks. Please note in the monthly paid weekly membership, all payments for the 42 lessons given are spread over 11 months. No payment is made for the 10 weeks I do not teach.
I am usually closed for the Month of August every year and on the Easter Break (2 weeks) and for the last week in December and the first week of January and 2 additional weeks in the year. I will inform you of the details of my breaks and holidays. No payment is required for when I take holidays or a break. If I cannot make a lesson due to illness I will either reschedule or deduct or refund for any paid lessons (£15.00 for monthly payments OR £16.50 pay as you go).
TERMINATING LESSONS
I hope that you and your child have a positive experience with me as you learn. Sometimes there are reasons why you may wish to terminate your learning experience and journey with me.
If you wish to finish having piano lessons please give 3 weeks’ notice in writing if you are on the weekly membership.
Fees are still payable for lessons during this period of notice. Simply not turning up for a lesson does not act as notice. It must be in writing via email.
Pay as you go and adhoc students can give written notice via email of their wish to terminate with immediate effect. All lessons taken must be paid for.
If you have any queries or concerns that you would like to raise with me please feel free to email me or arrange for us to have a conversation to address your query or concern.
I thank you for your support in this matter.
